Introduction

Back to Help

Welcome! This is the start of a small tutorial to help you get started with gScreen.

Here's what you have to do to get up and running:

  • Find a machine to run it on: this can be a server, a Raspberry Pi, a home server, or an everyday computer such as a laptop.
  • Generate Google Credentials: you will need to generate a set of private credentials that will give your instance of gScreen access to the Google Photos API.
  • Link your Google account: link your Google account with your instance of gScreen, giving it read-only access to your media.

Note that each instance of gScreen is entirely private and doesn't phone home in any way. We cannot access your credentials, your Google account, or your media.
